In the course of providing employee benefits consulting services, CFH may handle census or enrollment data that includes information related to group health plan participation. CFH does not act as a health care provider, health plan, or health care clearinghouse. Where CFH receives protected health information in connection with a client’s group health plan, such information is handled pursuant to the confidentiality and data-handling terms of the applicable client or carrier agreement, and — where applicable — any business associate agreement in place with that client.
