Connolly Financial Holdings, Inc., doing business as CFH Insurance Consultants (“CFH,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit www.cfhic.com (the “Site”) or engage with us as a client, prospective client, or business contact. This policy should be read alongside our Cookie Policy and our Terms of Service.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

• Contact information you provide directly, such as name, job title, company name, email address, mailing address, and phone number (for example, via a contact form, a renewal review request, or a meeting booking);
• Business and plan information submitted in connection with benefits consulting services, including group census data, plan documents, carrier quotes, claims reports, and renewal information, whether sent by email or uploaded through the Site. Where this data includes information about employees or dependents of a client, we process it solely on behalf of, and under the direction of, the client for the purpose of providing consulting services;
• Usage data collected automatically, such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and referring URLs, typically gathered through cookies, tags, and similar technologies (see Section 5 and our Cookie Policy);
• Communications you send to us, including emails, messages submitted through the Site, and conversations through the live chat on the Site.

2. How We Use Information

We use information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our consulting services and the Site;
• Prepare carrier analyses, renewal strategies, and related advisory deliverables for clients;
• Respond to inquiries and communicate with prospective and current clients;
• Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve Site content and functionality;
• Measure our advertising and show our advertising to people who have visited the Site, as described in Section 5;
• Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations;
• Protect against fraud, unauthorized transactions, and other liabilities.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information for money. Some state privacy laws treat the use of advertising and retargeting cookies, described in Section 5, as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out of that use through the cookie choices on the Site, the opt-out tools listed in Section 5, or by contacting us. We may share information:

• With insurance carriers, general agencies, and benefits platforms as necessary to obtain quotes, process enrollments, or service a client’s benefits program, and only as authorized by the applicable client engagement;
• With service providers who perform functions on our behalf, under obligations to protect the information consistent with this policy. These include website hosting, security, and backup providers; analytics providers such as Google Analytics, Jetpack (Automattic), and Burst Statistics; advertising providers such as Google Ads; our live chat provider (tawk.to); our meeting scheduling provider (Calendly); our email newsletter provider (Mailchimp); and document management providers;
• As required by law, regulation, subpoena, or governmental request;
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

4. Health and Benefits-Related Data

In the course of providing employee benefits consulting services, CFH may handle census or enrollment data that includes information related to group health plan participation. CFH does not act as a health care provider, health plan, or health care clearinghouse. Where CFH receives protected health information in connection with a client’s group health plan, such information is handled pursuant to the confidentiality and data-handling terms of the applicable client or carrier agreement. We use protected health information only to provide the services the client has engaged us to perform, we limit access to the team assigned to the account, and we ask that senders include only the information needed for the review and no Social Security numbers. Nothing in this Policy changes any obligation that HIPAA places on a client’s group health plan or on a carrier.

Files You Upload Through the Site

When you use a form on the Site to send us a renewal, quote, census, or claims report:

• The file is delivered to CFH by email for the team handling your request, and is not published on the Site;
• The details you enter in the form (such as your name, company, email, and phone number) are stored in our website’s database so we can follow up on your request;
• We use the information only to prepare the review or service you asked for. We do not send it to a carrier or any other party unless you ask us to or authorize it;
• Please do not include Social Security numbers. We never need them for a quote or a review;
• If you would rather not upload a file, you can email it to info@cfhic.com or call 248.370.8853 and we will arrange another way to receive it.

5. Analytics, Advertising, and Retargeting

We use cookies, tags, and similar technologies on the Site to understand how visitors use it and to measure and improve our advertising. Specifically:

• Analytics. We use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity, Jetpack, and Burst Statistics to see which pages are visited, how visitors arrive at the Site, and how the Site performs. Microsoft Clarity records clicks and scrolling as heatmaps and session recordings with all on-page text masked, and it does not run on our renewal, contact, careers, or booking pages.
• Advertising and retargeting. We use Google Ads, and may use LinkedIn advertising, to measure the results of our ads and to show ads for our services to people who have previously visited the Site when they later use other websites and apps. These providers may use cookies and device identifiers to do this, under their own privacy policies.
• Business visitor identification. We may use services that identify the organization associated with a visitor’s IP address (for example, the company name and the pages viewed) so that we can understand which businesses are interested in our services. These services identify organizations, not individual people.
• Health-related pages. Some articles on the Site discuss health topics, such as mental health benefits or prescription drug coverage. We do not use visits to pages about specific health conditions or treatments to build advertising audiences. Please do not type health information into the live chat, or into any form on the Site other than the upload form for a renewal, quote, census, or claims report, because chat content is received by our chat provider. We do not use uploaded files for analytics or advertising.

You can limit this tracking by adjusting your browser’s cookie settings, by using Google’s Ad Settings, LinkedIn’s advertising preferences, or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page, and by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can also contact us to ask that we not use your information for advertising.

6. Data Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Email and web forms are not encrypted end to end, so please do not include Social Security numbers or other highly sensitive identifiers in files or messages you send us.

7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, satisfy legal or regulatory recordkeeping requirements applicable to insurance consulting engagements, and resolve disputes.

8. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of personal information we hold about you, or to opt out of certain uses. To make a request, contact us using the information below. We will respond in accordance with applicable law. Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (such as Colorado and Texas) may have additional rights under those laws; we will honor verifiable requests consistent with applicable requirements.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.

10. Third-Party Links

The Site may link to third-party websites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites, and we encourage you to review the privacy practices of any third-party site you visit.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
