Wellness Wednesdays and worksite flu clinics give employers low-effort events, if employees actually attend.
HAP runs a live virtual webinar series on the third Wednesday of each month and offers on-site programs and flu shot clinics. The employer’s job is to promote them.
What the program is and what members do.
What Wellness Wednesdays are
HAP says Worksite Wellness hosts live virtual wellness webinars on the third Wednesday of each month, covering stress management, self-care, healthy eating, financial wellness and more. HAP’s 2026 calendar lists sessions at 11:30 a.m. with partners such as the American Institute for Preventive Medicine and GreenPath.
Examples from the 2026 calendar
HAP’s listings include sessions on balanced food choices, social media and positivity, setting health boundaries, building a monthly spending plan, holiday budgeting and a sound bath meditation. Each has its own registration link, so employees sign up for the sessions they choose rather than being enrolled in a series.
On-site programs and flu clinics
HAP also offers workshops and multi-week programs on topics such as chronic disease prevention, nutrition and pain management, delivered as live webinars to support remote learning. For flu season, HAP says an employer can host an on-site flu shot clinic or encourage employees to use an approved provider, and that most members can receive flu shots at no charge.
Eligibility, funding and plan design.
Who can use it
HAP markets these events through its employer well-being team. The Wellness Wednesdays page does not state group size requirements, and HAP’s footnote says limitations apply and minimum participation rates apply for some services. Confirm whether a worksite flu clinic needs a minimum number of participants for your location.
How it is funded or sold
HAP does not publish pricing for the webinars, on-site programs or flu clinics. Its employer page says some services are at a cost. The public webinar series appears to be open registration, but on-site programming and clinics should be priced and scheduled in writing before they are promised to employees.
Where it fits in a plan design
These events are the lightest form of wellness. They do not change benefits and they carry little compliance risk when participation is voluntary and unrewarded. They work best as support for an incentive program or as a visible part of an open enrollment calendar, not as a standalone strategy.
What to settle before relying on it.
Who attends, and how will we know?
Webinars are easy to schedule and hard to measure. Ask HAP what attendance reporting it provides to the employer, at group level, and compare it with headcount. If a session draws a handful of people, shift the effort to topics that match the group’s claims and demographics.
Is the flu clinic included, and what does it require?
HAP says most members are eligible for flu shots at no charge. Ask whether a worksite clinic is billed, whether there is a participation minimum, who staffs it and how dependents or employees on other plans are handled at the event.
Are our shift and remote workers covered?
The webinars run at 11:30 a.m. on a set day. Ask whether recordings are available and whether sessions can be repeated for second-shift or field employees. If an event cannot reach most of the workforce, it should not anchor the wellness plan.
