Chamber Members

Benefits help for Michigan chamber of commerce members.

Most chamber members buy group health insurance alone, once a year, with whatever the carrier sends. We give Michigan chamber members a benefits consultant to call: a second opinion on the renewal, the compliance calendar, and straight answers on the rules, at no cost for the review.

What Members Get

Four things a member can use this week.

A Renewal Second Opinion

Send the renewal letter, the plan summary, the contribution split and enrollment by tier. We tell you whether the increase looks competitive, what is driving it and which questions to put back to the carrier before you sign.

The Michigan Compliance Calendar

The benefits and HR deadlines a Michigan employer meets in 2027, with the new minimum wage, ACA affordability and penalty figures, as a two-page PDF you can keep by the desk.

Free Calculators

ACA penalty, affordability, full-time-equivalent and measurement-period calculators, plus a benchmark of your premiums against the Michigan average. No sign-up, and the results are yours.

A Named Account Team

Members who become clients get an account executive, an account manager, a plan analyst, customer service and IT on their account, so a question never waits for one person to get back from vacation.

Plain Terms

What this program is not.

Not a Premium Discount

Carriers set the rates, and there is no chamber rate to unlock. We will not dress up the same premium as a member deal. What we add is judgment on the plan you buy and how you pay for it.

Not a Pooled Plan

Each member keeps its own group plan, priced on its own employees. Nothing here moves you into an association arrangement or ties your rates to other members.

Not an Obligation

The review is free whether you stay with your current broker or not. If the renewal is fair, we will say so, and plenty of them are.

For Chamber Leaders

What we bring to a chamber.

Health insurance is one of the largest costs your members carry and one of the few they rarely get help with. Here is how we support a chamber without turning your events into a sales floor.

Member Education Sessions

A 30-minute session at a breakfast or lunch: what is driving renewals this year, the 2027 numbers, or the deadlines small employers miss. Questions answered in the room, no pitch.

Newsletter Content

Short, plain-English pieces on Michigan benefits deadlines and renewal trends, written for your member newsletter and free to run under your own masthead.

Renewal Season Help Line

From fall renewals through open enrollment, members can call with a question about their renewal or a notice and get an answer from someone who reads renewals all day.

Questions We Get

What chamber members ask.

Which chambers does this cover?

Any Michigan chamber of commerce. Our Michigan office is in Bloomfield Hills, and we work with employers across the state in person, by phone and by video.

What does the review cost?

Nothing, and there is no obligation to change anything afterward. Send the four documents and we come back with a read on the renewal.

Is my chamber endorsing CFH?

Not unless it says so. A chamber that shares this page is passing along a resource for members, not choosing a broker for them.

We have fewer than ten employees. Is it worth it?

Often more so. Michigan small-group plans can start with a single W-2 employee, and a renewal increase lands hardest on a small payroll.

Let’s Get to Work

Send us your renewal.

We’ll tell you whether it looks competitive, where we see opportunity, and the five questions we’d put to your carrier. No cost, and no obligation to move anything.

What to send

The renewal letter
Your current plan summary
Contribution split by tier
Enrolled counts by tier

Four documents — two more if your group is 50 or more. Nothing else; every extra one is a reason to postpone.

CFH Insurance Consultants

An independent employee benefits consulting firm. We look at the entire benefits program — cost, plan performance, risk and administration.

Switch to CFH. Unhappy with your broker? Your employees won’t notice. You will. →
