Humana left employer group medical in 2023, so no employer should count on Go365 without written confirmation from Humana.
Humana’s Go365 workplace page is still live, but Humana announced in 2023 that it was leaving employer group commercial medical. Confirm availability with Humana before relying on any part of the program.
Humana Is Exiting Employer Group Medical
Humana has announced it is exiting its employer group commercial medical business, including the wellness and rewards programs tied to it. Treat this page as background on how Go365 works, and confirm with Humana whether any program is open to a specific group before relying on it.
What the program is and what members do.
What Humana announced
On February 23, 2023, Humana announced it would exit the Employer Group Commercial Medical Products business, which Humana said includes all fully insured, self-funded and Federal Employee Health Benefit medical plans, as well as associated wellness and rewards programs. Humana said the exit would be phased over the next 18 to 24 months.
What Humana kept
Humana said it remains committed to lines including Medicare Advantage, Group Medicare, Medicare Supplement, Medicare Prescription Drug Plans, Medicaid, Military and Specialty lines such as dental, vision and life. Humana’s group benefits page offers brokers and employers group dental, vision, life and disability plans, not group medical.
What the Go365 page still says
The Go365 workplace wellness page remains online and describes a customizable employee wellness program. The page carries no notice about the 2023 exit, and a live page is not proof the program can be bought. Humana’s own announcement is the stronger source on employer medical, so check status directly.
Eligibility, funding and plan design.
Who can use it
The group that holds Humana coverage that includes Go365, or that Humana confirms in writing is eligible. Humana’s announcement of the exit from employer group commercial medical, including associated wellness and rewards programs, means a group on a Humana dental, vision, life or disability product should not assume Go365 comes with it.
How it is sold
Humana sells group dental, vision, life and disability to employers through brokers. The Humana pages we reviewed do not say that Go365 workplace wellness is sold with those products. Ask Humana to say so explicitly, in writing, if you want to rely on it.
Where it fits
For most Michigan employers, the practical path is to plan wellness around the medical carrier or a stand-alone vendor. A group that still has a Humana medical contract in runoff should confirm what happens to its wellness features at renewal or termination. Do not leave the answer to open enrollment week.
What to settle before relying on it.
What exactly do we have today?
Pull your Humana contract, certificate and any wellness addendum. Identify which Humana products your group holds and whether any mention Go365. If the documents are silent, ask Humana to confirm in writing what, if anything, the group may use, and by what date.
What is the end date?
Ask Humana whether any wellness or rewards feature tied to your plan ends on a specific date, and what employees will be told. Build the communication plan around that date, so employees are not promised rewards that will stop mid-year.
What is the replacement plan?
If employees now lose a program or never had one, decide what replaces it. Options include the new medical carrier’s platform, a stand-alone vendor, or no incentive at all. Any reward tied to health outcomes needs HIPAA, ACA, ADA and GINA review by employment counsel. We can help compare options.
Common questions about this program.
Is Go365 workplace wellness still sold to employers?
The Humana pages we reviewed do not say so. Humana announced in 2023 that it was exiting employer group commercial medical, including associated wellness and rewards programs. Ask Humana directly whether Go365 is available to your group.
Does Humana still sell any group coverage?
Yes. Humana’s group benefits page lists group dental, vision, life and disability plans for employers. Group medical is the line Humana announced it was leaving.
Who should confirm availability?
Your Humana representative or broker should confirm in writing, naming the plan, the program and the dates. Keep the confirmation with your plan documents, since web pages change without notice.
